It’s not enough for the artist just to be skilled in your craft. You must develop what Dr. DuBois called true self-consciousness. My skills and my talents must be used to raise my people. Otherwise, what are they good for?

Dhruvi is a self-taught contemporary artist who uses her Kenyan and Indian background as inspiration for her art.

Finding the passion to create something new and meaningful is extremely fulfilling. But, the ability to do good things in this world with her art, is an even better feeling.

She has fused her need for purpose with her love for art, into what is now called  ‘Created by Dhruvi’.

Through her artwork, ‘Created by Dhruvi’ hopes to shed a spotlight on sensitive issues that affect many of us, and give you a glimpse of the world through her eyes.
